Run Streak 365: A Year!!

Day 365 in run streak, 23,7 kilometres. Look at that! One year!! Tomorrow I’ll start year two of my streak, even though my body complains about that plan right now 😀

A short review of this year

There are three particular runs from the past year that stand out. Or four, because I need to count my first run the day I decided to start my streak.

Magic February run

On the 2nd of February this year, I had a magical run in my beloved eklandskap (oaks everywhere! 😀 ). If you are good at Swedish, you can read it here. It was just one of those runs when the light, snow and everything made it a special occasion that is permanently fixed in my memory as a Good Time(tm).

Today’s run at Östgötaleden

As today was a special day, I wanted a special run. I decided to run Östgötaleden (Östgöta trail) from Bjärka-Säby to home. A trip that according to my Garmin is exactly 23 kilometers and 660 meters. It was muddier than I expected, so mu New Balance NB1260v3 weren’t the best shoes, but they managed to get me home. 😀 I liked this run, so I look forward to run this stretch many more times. It is a great mix of technical, small trails, and easy roads.
